An Amazing Fairy Day & Classes Coming Soon              Fairy Day 2012

This afternoon we attended Fairy Day at Nature’s Garden Center. They did a great job with the event. They had a great variety of activities. There was a coloring contest, a fairy garden gate to paint, and a pot to color. They also had a fairy hunt and a variety of fairy treats. In addition the whole store was on sale, including the components of a fairy garden. They had plenty of staff on hand to organize the kids activities and still help customers. They seemed prepared with plenty of supplies, down to smocks for the kids painting their fences. My daughter had a great time. She started by coloring a fairy picture to enter into their contest. Then she painted her fairy gate. As she was painting, she had a fairy wand snack (flower pick with grapes and cantaloupe). After the fairy gate, we went on a fairy hunt to find the names of the fairies hidden throughout the store. Then she colored an insert for a pot and planted a flower in it. Although I had accidentally left my purse at home, I found some money in the car and bought her a plant to use as a fairy garden with her fence. We have to figure out which container at home will work best, and create her own fairy garden at home. As I paid, she had glitter fairy nail polish applied by one of the fairies. My daughter had a great time and I am very glad that we went back today to attend. (We were at Nature’s Garden Center on Saturday, when I had thought Fairy Day was). They are offering a fairy garden class on Thursday, July 12 from 1-2p for kids ages 6-12. The class costs $12.99/project. They will be making their own fairy garden (families can work on one project or individual projects). They will also offer a class that night for adults (ages 13+). They had a sample out from each of the classes and they looked nice. Unfortunately, we are not available for the July 12 class or I would definitely be signing my daughter up for the class. Advance registration is required.

Compliments to Nature’s Garden Center

“We get all our lawn and garden supplies at Nature’s Garden Center. Initially we wanted to support a business that gives so much to the community in which they are based, but they provide that customer service and friendliness that you just can’t get in a big chain. Not having much of a green thumb, they have helped instruct us on how to have a better landscaped lawn. Thanks very much!”
